2011 Nissan Sentra

The Nissan Sentra is a popular choice for drivers in the market for a sleek, inexpensive compact with great interior space and intuitive handling. The 2011 series builds on all the quality features that have made the Sentra a popular import since its debut in 1982. The 2011 Nissan Sentra sedan is available in six different models. Each model comes with different body trims and options available. The six models are the Sentra 2.0, the Sentra 2.0 S, the Sentra 2.0 SR, the Sentra 2.0 SL, the Sentra SE-R, and the Sentra SE-R Spec V. The basic model is the Sentra 2.0. The 2.0 features a 6-speed manual transmission and 15-inch steel wheels, and comes standard equipped with traction and stability control as well as support for MP3 player or auxiliary audio input. Next in the line-up is the 2.0 S, which includes all the features of the 2.0, but uses a continuously variable transmission and upgrades to 16-inch steel wheels, six-speaker audio, and USB input for iPod connectivity. The SR switches out the steel wheels for 16-inch alloys and offers a sportier exterior, including a rear spoiler. Bluetooth connectivity is available as an option in both the 2.0 S and 2.0.

The 2.0 SL takes the upgrade options of the S and SR models and makes them standard, including satellite radio, high quality audio, Bluetooth, and keyless entry. The SL has optional features as well, such as leather interior, heated seats, navigation, and a sunroof. All four of the basic models are built around a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. The 2.0 S, 2.0 SR, and 2.0 SL boast a fuel economy of up to 27 city / 34 highway miles to the gallon, while the manual 2.0 model achieves 24 city / 31 highway.

For those looking for a more exciting driving experience, the Sentra also offers two high-performance models, the Sentra SE-R and the Sentra SE-R Spec V. Both of these models feature a sportier body and performance suspension. The SE-R builds on the features of the 2.0 SR, upgrading to 17-inch alloys.

An upgrade package is available that includes all the options from the 2.0 SL. Meanwhile, the Spec V features even better performance tires, a lower ride, and improved braking. The SE-R has a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine capable of 177 horsepower and a gas mileage of 24 city / 30 highway, while the Spec V boasts a 2.5L 4-cylinder that puts out a full 200 horsepower, allowing for very fast acceleration for the compact class. The Spev V can attain 21 city / 28 highway miles per gallon.
